Penelitian yang dilakukan oleh JB Carroll dan N.L Gage (Ray Bruce and Edith E. Grimsley, ASCD, Reading in Educational Supervision Jurnal, 1987:23-25), meneliti tentang Optimizing Akademik Learning Time and Student Success of Learning menemukan kualitas guru yang berhasil membelajarkan peserta didik pada waktu proses belajar, guru seharusnya memaksimalkan kegiatan mengajarnya dengan berperilaku :

1. Establish Classroom role.

2. Move around the room a lot, monitoring seat work and attending to academik needs.

3. When people work independently, ensure that assignment are interesting and worthwhile, yet easy enough to be completed without teacher direction.

5. Call on child by name before asking the question to ensure that all have opportunity to respond.

Dalam penelitian ini ditemukan adanya hubungan yang kuat antara prilaku guru mengajar dengan proses belajar murid, aktivitas dalam bentuk prilaku mengajar ternyata melahirkan dinamika kegiatan belajar murid.
